In Transition to a new Future

I have reached a crossroads on a number of things --- AI, Writing, and Publishing. For one thing, I've found that social media tends to not distribute my posts except maybe to 2 people. So it is a totally losing strategy. It seems like you have to either be an outrage generator, a super victim, or have people from elsewhere that have come there to see information about whatever it is you are working on. Frankly, in the later case, social media seems like it is just a lazy way to access a blog. So I have decided to make this blog area more of a primary source of publishing information about what is going on with a number of projects I am working on. 

I've started to design my Local AI system. This system is part of a project to produce a writer's helper, a literary analyst, and a rough draft book to movie script writer. What is a writer's helper?

A writer's helper means an AI that tell me where in my large 8 book  book series that a character has said something, where have I introduced a philosophical idea, where I have introduced a theme? When you write an ultra dense, Post Modern Literary Fiction series, it is difficult to remember where certain things occur. I have a tremendous memory for things, but the level of detail in this book series exceeds even its capacity when carried across 8 books. The flipside of this is that with that memory, it is quite easy for me to assume I have already introduced something long ago in the series when I never have introduced it at all. So I can ask the AI to check and see if I have ever talked about some feature of the universe. 

The other useful feature AI can perform is to simply ask it for a piece I am writing, "What do you think this means?" or "Can you understand what I have said?" I have found that if the AI has no clue what I am saying, that probably the average reader, even Literary Fiction skilled readers, will likely not understand either. I also like to play tricks with the language using second or third meanings of a word or unusual usage. It adds something interesting for the skilled reader but I can easily get it wrong. The AI knows the genealogy of words so it can check if I have been clever or deluded. Ironically, everyone is always concerned about AI hallucinating but I use it to check if I am doing the same thing in my use of the language. 

I think I will keep this blogpost bite-sized, so I'll wait for further blogposts to go more into detail about the various aspects.
